The area of operation (VO) for cardiology and pulmonology (HLM) at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) consists of four sections: heart failure and valve, arrhythmia, coronary arteries, and the lung and allergy unit. We provide highly specialized services in cardiac and pulmonary care in both Lund and Malmö. Nursing rounds are being introduced and will be an important part of the care where the interdisciplinary team plans for patients.

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (HIA) is the country's largest center for the treatment of acute heart disease, and we provide high-tech care. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a nursing assistant for HIA in Lund. Our employees have extensive experience in cardiac intensive care, and with their solid expertise, we are ready to welcome you whether you are experienced or newly graduated.

In the position as a nursing assistant at HIA, you will work with severely heart-ill patients with diagnoses such as acute myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmia. The work includes patient-centered care and monitoring of vital parameters.

Your daily work includes patient-centered teamwork with nurses and doctors, and if necessary, also social workers and physiotherapists. After a while with us, you will be just as comfortable receiving a patient directly from the ambulance stretcher with an ongoing heart attack as providing meticulous specialized care to a highly unstable heart failure patient awaiting a heart transplant.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant with a focus on healthcare/emergency care according to the previous program structure or are a trained nursing assistant within the new program structure who has studied all specializations. Additionally, you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as experience from inpatient somatic care. If you have previously worked in emergency and intensive care, this is an advantage.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare and social services. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can retain your title as a nursing assistant until June 30, 2033. In the event of an interview/employment, you must be able to present proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed on July 1, 2023. If you do not currently have a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or are covered by the transitional provisions, this means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant and not nursing assistant.
